Lord: Energizing Puerto Rico
With over $55 million in annual sales, Lord Electric Company of Puerto Rico (Lord) is the primary electrical contractor on the Island. Lord's history has been entertwined with Puerto Rico's growth since the 1950's, when the island started to develop itself as the Caribbean powerhouse it is today.
At Lord we are proud to be the energizing force behind Puerto Rico's most important construction projects, including the Island's new light rail system (Tren Urbano), the reconstruction of San Juan's main electrical power station (Palo Seco), the finest resorts, the most important hospitals. and the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. We are also honored to have been selected as the only company trusted by the government to provide electrical emergency back up for the entire island.
Palo Seco Power Plant
When the Palo Seco Power Plant, the main one providing power to the city of San Juan, became inoperable after a series of fires, Lord was contracted to bring it back to life, following even more rigorous safety requirements.
Puerto Rico Convention Center
Inaugurated on November 2005, Puerto Rico's Convention Center is the largest convention facility in the Caribbean. It is able to accommodate groups of up to 25,000 people with a total space of 580,000 square feet.

Tren Urbano
Since 1965, LORD has been active in power, signal and communications projects for major railroad and transit systems clients in the United States. In Puerto Rico, LORD has drawn from the skills and expertise of the LORD/MASS partnership in the mainland to work on San Juan's Tren Urbano.
