Puma Energy Petroleum Products Terminal

Puma Energy International, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing integrated mid-stream and downstream oil companies, trusted LORD to help them construct their Puma Energy Caribe storage terminal in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.




With an extremely demanding and aggressive schedule, LORD and its time-proven PRE-FAB / BIM INTEGRATED PROJECT DELIVERY METHOD, constructed a Piping Manifold, amongst many other terminal components, on time, under budget, and with the utmost quality.

VA Medical Center

New Parking Structure Phase 4

VA Medical Center

In conjunction with Carter Concrete Structures, a specialized Contractor performing turnkey concrete construction, LORD is acting as the MEP contractor to build a seven level, 275,000 sqrft parking structure for the Veterans Affairs in Puerto Rico.



Lord's Scope Includes:


Mall of San Juan

Taubman Centers and New Century Development Corp., through the DCK / Bird JV, contracted Lord to perform the main electrical distrubution work of the buidling. The $400 million Mall of San Juan upscale retail project will be the most state of the art shopping center in Puerto Rico.

The 650,000-square-foot shopping center features the first Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue on the island, in addition to more than 100 specialty stores and restaurants.

LORD's scope of work includes:


High Performance Green Building Modernization, Federal Office Building, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico Project

The modernization of the Clemente Ruiz-Nazario U.S. Courthouse (CH), the Federico Degetau Federal Office Building (FOB) and the Link building that connects them, aspires to greatly improve the environmental impact of the facilities. The primary goals of the design-build construction TEAM comprised by Fusco, F&R, Dewberry and LORD, are to reduce the annual energy consumption of the facilities and to further “green” the facilities by making healthier environments for their occupants.

Palo Seco Power Plant

When the Palo Seco Power Plant, the main one providing power to the city of San Juan, became inoperable after a series of fires, Lord was contracted to bring it back to life, following even more rigorous safety requirements. 

With an output of 602 MM from Bunker-C oil The Palo Seco Power Plant is located on the north coast of San Juan.


Tren Urbano

Since 1965, LORD has been active in power, signal and communications projects for major railroad and transit systems clients in the United States.  In Puerto Rico, LORD has drawn from the skills and expertise of the LORD/MASS partnership in the mainland to work on San Juan's Tren Urbano.
