Frederic W. Lord

"In response to a sudden marketing needs requirement, LORD changed gears; built up rapidly to a 600 plus labor force, adhered to very stringent quality requirements, met all interim schedule needs, demonstrated great purchasing abilities and field management techniques, which in a safe manner enabled us to execute, as construction managers, a successful completion of the largest, most complex and intensive project built in Puerto Rico over the last 20 years."

Frederic W. Lord, a graduate from M.I.T. and a visionary in the electrical engineering field, founded the LORD ELECTRIC COMPANY in Boston in 1895. He was quick to envision the changes America would encounter as electricity became a major force in the industry and he was determined to stand at the forefront of these advances in order to bring a better future to the people.

By 1959 the company had expanded its operations to participate in the rapid development of the Caribbean, focusing first on electrical contracting.  In 1972 Lord added a Mechanical Contracting Division.  Today, Lord Electric Company of Puerto Rico, Inc., is a corporation owned by its own officers and key employees, with a well established record of quality work in the following areas:  industrial, electrical, mechanical and telecommunication systems process.
